MY STORY

Hi, I'm Allie Sauer. Thank you for visiting my page.

From a young age I always like to bake with my Grandma. So, I decided to go to Culinary School. I went to Diablo Valley College, and then transferred to Johnson & Wales University where I received my Bachelors in Culinary Arts & Restaurant Management. After Culinary School I wasn't sure if that was exactly what I wanted to do (perfect timing right lol). I kept going back and forth on which I loved doing more: savory or sweet. 

In 2022, I talked to a local cottage bakery (shoutout earlyrisebakehouse). She told me all about the process and ultimately I decided that this was my dream to sell cookies to people. 

Initially I did start recipe testing with your so called "normal cookies" but then my dad came up with a few interesting combinations that I tried and was pleasantly shocked. And yes I know if you look at some of the combinations I have.. yes they do seem weird. And honestly some of them are. BUT, they work. I try to do a good balance of sweet and savory which I believe makes a perfect combination. But like I always say... anyone can make a chocolate chip cookie. But how can I put a unique spin on it. 

August 2022 I officially opened up Sauer Kitchen. This truly is my dream. I always loved baking cookies. So I'm glad I get to share my unique concoctions with you. 

 

 

If you're still not convinced to buy cookies from me... all of them are approved by my mom. When my dad and I talk about these unique ideas she's never sold on them. BUT once she tries them she realizes that the combination is actually good.
